China Construction Bank Bonds Debuted at the Middle East Market

A USD 6 billion EMTN programme of China Construction Bank (CCB) including its USD 600 million bond was successfully listed and issued on Nasdaq Dubai on September 27, 2016.

This is the first time that China Construction Bank landed on the Middle East bond market. The USD 6

billion EMTN programme is the largest EMTN scheme of Chinese banks listed on Nasdaq Dubai so far.

And the issuance of USD 600 million is also the largest single issue for Chinese banks in the Middle East

market.

The issuance of the bond got very positive responses from investors in the Middle East, proving

increasing popularity and credibility of China Construction Bank among local investors. It also

demonstrates CCB’s financing capacity in various market conditions.
