Practicing the Concept of Green Development and Building a Clean and Beautiful World
Published time: 2022-12-15

On December, 2022, in order to fulfill its social responsibility and actively practice the concept of green development and promote the harmonious coexistence between human beings and nature, CCB DIFC Branch organized young employees to participate in the "UAE National Tree  (Ghaf ) Planting Activity".

During the activity, the staff visited the Soil Museum with great enthusiasm. During the visit, they felt the threats faced by the soil and its close relationship with food security and climate change and gained a deeper understanding of the long-term significance of planting trees and protecting the soil to human survival, which further enhanced their sense of responsibility and consciousness to respect nature and protect the environment. In the process of planting trees, the young employees physically cooperated with each other to experience the joy of work and enhance their sense of teamwork.

To promote the history of the UAE, the tree planted in this activity is the national tree of the UAE - Ghaf. As a historical and cultural symbol of stability and peace in the desert environment of the UAE, Ghaf is rooted in sandy soil, drought-resistant and long-lived, and plays a great role in maintaining local biodiversity and promoting sustainable development. Therefore, it is protected by law. The employees expressed that they should learn the tenacious struggle spirit of the Ghaf, take the initiative to adapt to the environment, maintain an optimistic mindset, inject more water for the prosperity and development of the UAE and provide more accurate services for CCB customers.

In recent years, CCB DIFC Branch is committed to practicing the new development concept with new financial actions, accelerating green financial business, expanding rich and diversified green investment and financing services, while continuously carrying out internal energy saving and environmental protection initiatives, the branch's ESG management and staff's green and low-carbon awareness have been continuously improved.
